Giving a helping Hand for God

We hadn't been going to this one Church very long so we really didn't know a lot of people but this one girls Mom died and you need to understand this girl is slow she maybe is mentally 7 or 8 where here real age is in the 20's anyway we thought we would go to the funeral home for the viewing because I thought since we were going to the Church it was the thing to do. l We walked in and this girl grabbed on to me and sobbed her heart out and kept saying why . I felt her pain I had been there and understood what she was feeling so we sat down her Grandma let me take her to the side and I told her all about how her Mom was with Jesus and was happy but that she could still see her and here her if she wanted to talk to her Mom just find a quite place and talk to her that she would hear her. I promised her Mom would hear her anytime. from what I understand her grandma hears her in her bedroom a lot talking to her Mom  and I guess she always ask how Jesus is.  Since then I feel a bond to this girl and I make sure that every special day that the Easter Bunny or what ever the occasion ,happens .Her Grandma doesn't have much so I just sorta fill in and do something special for Sheila . I try on other days if I see her ,to make her feel really special. Or she also knows how to get a hold of me on the phone and there are some days she just wants to talk about what her Mom might be doing up in Heaven so I try to give her my best thoughts on what might be happening up there But most of all I want her to feel loved and that she will always be special & loved.

Making A Difference

Once upon a time there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day he was walking along the shore. As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He
smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day.

So he began to walk faster to catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.

As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?"

The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean."

"I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?"

"The sun is up and the tide is going out. And if I don't throw them in they'll die."

"But, young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!"

The young man listened politely. Then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the ocean, past the breaking waves and said - "It made a difference for that one."

CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY?
